New One Trip shipping containers are new containers that have been used only once. These were built to be sold as new shipping containers. We load these new containers with goods in Asia so we can use the freight charges to offset the repositioning costs. These containers will have minor dents, dings, and abrasions due to normal shipping movements. These containers will be IICL grade which is the highest grade. .
Refurbished Shipping Containers are wind and water-tight containers that have been “renewed” by being cleaned and painted. We offer three levels of refurbishment: Typical, Full, and Factory, each catering to different needs. Typical refurbishment includes painting the outside of the container which includes removing loose rust with a wire wheel and spot priming. Then the exterior is painted with 2 coats of paint including the shipping line markings, roof, and gaskets. Full refurbishment adds interior paint. Factory refurbishment requires an extensive overhaul of the container including sand blasting, removing some dents, and installation of new gaskets.
